Public bug reported:

It didn't suspend after pressing the suspend key (Fn+F4). Selecting
Suspend from g-p-m just blanked the screen. sudo pm-suspend made the X
server to disappear. Being dropped on a console, it showed "Stopping
Cron..." and the system freezed. SysRq didn't work either.
