[Solved] I had the same problem, the internal speaker didn't switch off when I plugged in the headphone.
I have the ASUS X55SV, there are two outputs, one for the headphone and one for the line out and now it's working for the headphone output. I made following modifications: Add "snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire" (without options) in the "etc/modeprobe.d/alsa-base" Activate the Service "alsa-utilis" : Menu: Service-> "operations control" -> "Services" If "headphones" in "volume control settings" ->"switch" is selectet, it should work! -- ASUS X55SV Notebook: Muting internal speaker when headphone is plugged in. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263542 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
