Problem still present in Ubuntu 9.10 Final release. Note this problem is glaring for me because I am dual booting so that in the third step of the boot sequence, I show two Unbuntu 9.10 boot options (normal & recovery), then all of the boot options for Ubuntu 9.04. Otherwise, I would expect this would not be a problem with the typical 'newbie' trying out Ubuntu 9.10 by using Wubi.exe for a test install on a Windows XP system.
