Gborzi, the .deb installation failed for me when the 8.10 upgraded from 2.6.27-14 to -15 - dkms reported error while building it.
So I reverted to -14 and everything worked again. Whether I uninstall it first or not, does not matter, the error is somewhere in the dkms build. How can I find out what's missing? Maybe shoud I upgrade to 9.04 ? (The mainline driver lacks dvb support for my Pinnacle Hybrid Pro (330e) USB, and analog has no sound (unpatched tvtime I think).
