I'm simply trying to display the System Monitor and encounter this crash
every time. This time I was attempting to change the screen resolution
to see if that would have any effect, which it didn't, and ended up
being unable to return to 1024x768 after changing to 640x480. I could no
longer get to the APPLY button to click on it. I eventually found that I
could chagne the resolution from the command line using "xrandr -s
1280x768".

I have 3 more systems to upgrade, but am on hold until I see if this
problem can be resolved, I can't live with frequent crashes.
