Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

After start of Ubuntu 9.10, Karmic Koala, the BIOS screen appears normally.
Then an all white
version of the ubuntu symbol appears normally. Then a pattern shows on the
screen that I can
only describe as lost horizontal and vertical synchronization. The boot
process continues until
a normal ubuntu desktop appears with horizontal and vertical signals working
correctly.

This is an Acer laptop. Model is 5315-2153 with RAM increased to 2 Gb
from original RAM size.
