I am confirming this on my Toshiba P105-S9339 with fresh Karmic installed. 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)
Changing alsa-base.conf does NOT resolve the issue--or at least not permanently. When I got home from work today, the pop/click was back and /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save held the value of 10. If I enter a root terminal, I can 'echo 0 > /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save' to obtain some relief. (sudo does not work for this--I get a permission denied. I've not yet checked to see if this is a sudo configuration issue or a /sys issue). -- snd-hda-intel powersave option and "CLICK" from speakers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/381201 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
