Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center
On a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 in the software-center, Selecting software to install brings up the In Progress tab and lists the software with a progress bar and the name of the thing I'm installing. After closing the software center (with downloads in progress) and re-opening it, this helpful information (i.e., "Ubuntu Restricted Extras") was replaced with a generic message: "Installing packages".
