with CONTROL_USB_AUTOSUSPEND=1 in the file
/etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/usb-autosuspend.conf
right at the start of gdm all usb devices are disconnected (mouse for example)
This did not happen with 9.04 and its latest 2.6.28 kernel.
