Hi William - Sorry to hear you're having problems. The 1.0.2-0ubuntu2
version of the client should fix the errors that you describe.
Unfortunately, the client must be restarted (or you must log-out/in)
before enabling the new version. It sounds like restarting solved your
issue but I could be wrong. If your issue was resolved by 1.0.2-0ubuntu2
then please mark this as a duplicate of bug 462828. Thank you.
