Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17

After each kernel update, an Acer Travelmate 4060 computer looses its
sound, because Jack modes are set improperly.

As a person, who defined those defaults for the "acer" model of
snd_hda_intel module, I know that upstream defaults are good, so it's
weird that they don't work in Ubuntu.

Just for the reference:

Headphone Jack Mode should be "headphone out"
Line Jack Mode should be "line in"
Mic Jack Mode should be "mic 50pc bias"

More on Acer model (old bug, fixed a long time ago): bug #28443 .

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
