I'm also experiencing this problem. I'm running the Jaunty Jackalope on a Compaq Presario laptop. I've installed the Broadcom STA driver. Normal internet browsing from firefox seems to be Ok, but if I download a file using "save link as", or perform an update using the update manager my netgear WGR624 router locks up and has to have the power removed to recover. Any ideas?
