Hi all!

I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and don't  had sound but:
My souncard start working editing the file /etc/pulse/default.pa and commenting 
the 4 lines mentioned in the comment #69 and restarting pulseaudio.
My Smart Link modem work properly with the sl-modem-daemon (no driver neded).
And i have added the line:

options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-6ch

to the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf to make Headphones/Speakers
selector to work ok.

The problem is that, like others, i have no devices to configure in
sound preferences application (hardware tab). But the sound work.
