Network Manager works great under Gnome, but I had to install wicd under KDE in order to connect...Thanks for the workaround ;) You seem to have a Toshiba Laptop L510, I also have a new L505 and I've got one more thing to solve (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/321578 and http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-laptop-and-netbook-25/fan-acpi-problems-insyde-h20-bios-toshiba-satellite-pro-l300-x-716924) a fan speed which is not regulated (only spinning at full speed), maybe you have some clues about this issue ?
