Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Karmic Koala Pulse Audio: 1:0.9.19-0ubuntu4 There are two similar problems with my USB sound card (GWC USB 5.1 Channel Audo Adapter AA1500 5.1 Channels USB Interface Sound Card) 1. When I set the card to the appropriate hardware settings (anything that is 5.0 or higher, 5.0, 5.1, etc...) I get a loud screech coming from the speakers, especially if I up the "subwoofer" thing up or down in the settings. 2. When I set the hardware to 4.0, the speakers work well ONLY if the system volume is set to about 20%, then I use my controller for my speaker set to up the volume. If I up my system volume above about 20% the screetching comes back through the speakers, regardless of if if a turn down the speakers with the remote it has. The second issue here is obviously I don't have a center speaker functioning, to me this is a minor issue but it's there none the less.
