I had Jaunty till yesterday, and after installing auto-updates, my fully
functional Logitech RX720 wireless laser mouse stopped working. I
subsequently upgraded to Karmic, and the problem persists. The mouse
works flawlessly with Windows, and worked flawlessly in Ubuntu till
yesterday. Now, the mouse is not even detected.

'lsusb' does not show the mouse as connected, and
connecting/disconnecting the mouse does not trigger any messages on
dmesg (none of the files in /var/log are affected by plugging in/out the
mouse).

'lspci | grep USB' output is as follows:
00:02.0 USB Controller: nVidia Corporation CK804 USB Controller (rev a2)
00:02.1 USB Controller: nVidia Corporation CK804 USB Controller (rev a4)

'lsmod | grep usb' output:
usbhid 43968 0

Also, I am unfamiliar with uhci/ehci etc., so I am not sure if they are
needed - I seem to have both uhci_hcd and ehci_hcd modules missing. I
also tried blacklisting usbhid and enabling usbmouse but that did not
work. My other USB devices (including a USB wireless mouse of a
different make) are visible and are functioning as before.
