On my Inspiron 4150, I unintalled the Xorg Radeon drivers and loaded the flrgx drivers last night. This had resulted in no luck at all in Jaunty, but it works in Karmic.
Gains: -I can increase/decrease brightness with appropriate dell keys!! No brightness indicator pops up, but it works -I can see my pop-up volume indicator, and messages from Pidgin again in the top right of screen (they were graphically corrupt since Karmic) -Suspend seems to work so far. That has never worked. Losses: -I can't enable the visual effects anymore. They are on None now. I have only been using these drivers for about an hour now, but I think they are working better overall. Would be nice to get the visual effects going, but that will be an issue for another thread.
