> How was this partition configured for mounting previously (/etc/security/pam_mount.conf.xml)?
>From what I can tell, that file remained unchanged (I'll attach the file from my 8.04 system backup). Besides, I had that partition neither configured in /etc/fstab nor in /etc/crypttab. Instead, it was mounted through a quick-n-dirty modification of the bootmisc.sh script, triggering "/sbin/mount.crypt /dev/sda7 /home". Simple, but effective. > Does decrypting and mounting this partition work if you configure it via /etc/crypttab and /etc/fstab instead? I have tried that before and it didn't work. -- karmic's mount.crypt fails to mount Hardy's encrypted partition https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/476460 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
