Installing linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic fixed the high pitched problem. But If I set the Profile to 5.1 there is no sound coming from either centre channel or boss. Didn't have any problem like this with jaunty. I am sorry, what the f**k is going on in there? does anyone even test this OS before releasing it? every time I install new ubuntu version there is something wrong with it.
