On running the first time I didn't note the package causing the freeze. On running a second time I noted it, however I wrote it incorrectly in the original post. It was actually texlive-latex-base-doc However, it would seem the issue is not with this individual file anyway, since on running a third time (after submitting the report) I came across the same issue, but this time a different file caused the freeze.
