I notice that my computer freezes whenever I suspend with an external
Lacie HD connected to my firewire port. The computer is unresponsive
once awakened - the screen does not turn on, the keyboard status lights
do not light up, etc. I have to do a "hard" shut down by holding the
power button for 5 seconds. This has happened several times, happens
every time the external HD is plugged in, and only happens when plugged
in.

Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly. The resume processing hung very near the end and will have
appeared to have completed normally.
