Hi,

The bug appear fixed in 9.10. I have installed this version with no
problems on the laptop in question.

Many thanks for your concerns, but all appears well now. Great operating
system by the way. I'm fairly new to Linux, but won't be going back to
Windows any time soon.

Regards

Wayne

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Loading 8.10 either from the live CD or a full installation on a Toshiba U305
laptop fitted with an Intel 4965AGN wireless chipset would not detect or
install the card. Quick research indicated this driver is part of the Kernel
and works fine when loading Fedora 10 which detected and installed the drivers
on this system.
