I can confirm this issue... When i try to record a video with cheese and
a Microsoft LifeCam Cinema, cheese crashes immediately without a
traceout on the shell...

$ LANG=C cheese
^C

After i kill the process and restart Cheese I get these messages

$ LANG=C cheese

** (process:5041): WARNING **: Couldn't change nice value of process.
** Message: Error: Stream contains no data.

totem-video-thumbnailer couldn't open file

/home/user/Videos/Webcam/2009-11-10-214440.ogv (video/ogg)

I think they are caused by the bad video file. My system says about the
webcam the following...

$ cat /var/log/messages | grep LifeCam
