Public bug reported: Hello!
When I log out, shutdown or restart on Xubuntu 9.10, my screen turns black, and after a few seconds some lights on my keyboard flash and I can only push the button on my PC. The bug does not always occur, but most of the time it does. I did not have this problem with xubuntu 8.10. I had the fglrx drivers on that one, now i am obliged to use the radeon open source one. Kernel: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic amd x86_64, multi-boot with WinXP (xp does shutdown perfectly) Drivers: - Open source ati drivers (radeon 9800 pro) - I have a wacom tablet, I did read something about crashes with the tablet, but my xorg.conf does not contain wacom stuff. If I delete the /etc/X11/xorg.conf, the bug still occurs. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Xubuntu Karmic: X crashes during logout, shutdown and restart (amd64, radeon 9800 pro) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480942 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
