A related issue, captured in bug #408710, is that Nautilus places icons in "dead space", the unreachable part of the desktop adjacent to the smaller of two different sized monitors used simultaneously. This is still a very common use-case for laptop users.
The issue was mentioned in this blog over a year ago, but it seems no progress has been made: http://blogs.gnome.org/cneumair/2008/09/19 /nautilus-multihead-desaster/ -- after xrandr desktop icons can go missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/57784 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
