OK, I've traced this down to the XGrabPointer() call, this is what
triggers the 'BadAccess' error. Unfortunately according to its man page
XGrabPointer() should not fail with 'BadAccess', at least it is not
documented. I'll try to come up with an isolated test case to see
whether this is an xlib issue. Loading WAV files works without problems
with the karmic build for me.
