Skype, cheese video (K)ubuntu 9.10 not working with Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0c45:60c0 Microdia PC Camera with Mic (SN9C105), which is MSI Clip Cam. Everything I needed was the trick mentioned in #4 : LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype or LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so cheese and the webcam works!
