Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

1) I'm using Ubuntu Studio 9.10 AMD64

2) Pulseaudio is version 0.9.19

3) I expected it to play nicely with my RME HDSP Multiface.

4) It does not play nicely with my RME HDSP Multiface. It doesn't load
the module for it on start-up, I have to do it manually. Sometimes that
doesn't work and gives me a "Module initalization failed" message. When
it works, the audio playback is riddled with pops and cracks, which can
be alleviated to a degree by changing default-fragments and default-
fragment-size-msec in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf but never goes away
entirely.
