I have tried a few times, after each failure I #apt-get remove slapd and tried again. I tried, both as a static assigned IP and DHCP, the DHCP DNS auto-host-assign of collaborative.local so the only question asked was for the admin password, and the static IP I was prompted for dc values, I entered dc=collaborative,dc=org. I did notice the extra dc=, but was unsure how to fix it. I tried again today first (#apt-get update, #apt-get install, --failed, #apt-get remove)
I have another Dell box that arrived today, I will try it on that on Friday (tomorrow) if that will help. ... <thinking-out-loud> would an #apt-get --clean be a possible fix? </thinking-out-loud> I have previously installed from source on breezy for the initial test, but I want to keep as much in packages as possible. Much easier to fix in the round-robin of distros, versions and admins that the network has seen. Thank you.
