Public bug reported: Sometimes Karmic does not detect my Huawei e156 3G modem as plugged. This most commonly occurs when I need to restart the OS for some reason (when it restarts, the modem is not recongnized anymore), but sometimes in the first boot of the day, the modem is not recognized too.
I believe I can say this occurs in a rate of 1 to each 5 starts, and in a rate of 2 to each 3 restarts. Maybe related to this bug is the fact that when, for any reason, I need to stop the mobile connection (in the network manager context menu), and then restart it, 9 in each 10 times karmic is not able to reconnect it. This bug is different from other ones related to Huawei modems in the bug list, so I am reporting this as a new one. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Sometimes Huawei e156 3G modem is not recognized in Karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/484376 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
