I have similar problem on Mandriva 2010.0 with Compiz-Fuzion and KDE4
kdebase4-workspace-4.3.2-10mdv2010.0
I simply can't choose which screen edge will provide any desktop effect.
Only one available is "Present windows" on top right, although it is
set to top left in the config. Can't get other effects to be assigned to any
corner,
even the top right.
