Here is the requested information, but * I no longer have an edgy installation in the computer showing this problem. I'm reporting the results of the live install CD, which also exhibits the same problem. Launching amarok and playing the default welcome ogg starts an interrupted sequence of "hello..."
Attached is the output of the debug commands. I would like to try and up-to-date edgy installation to see if the problem has been corrected, but I am not sure when I could spare time for this.
