Public bug reported: Binary package hint: readahead
Description of the problem When resuming from suspend to disk readahead still precaches its full list of files (which includes various files used by xorg and gdm). Given that resumption will probably flush or prime the caches itself, this just leads to work that will never be used being done which slows down a resume... I would like to request a wishlist enhancement that readahead not be run if it is detected that a resume from disk is going to happen (while some of of the cached files will be used before the resume, I suspect it is easier to just skip the readahead rather than go to the lengths of determining what those files are and only caching those). ** Affects: readahead-list (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- readahead should be skipped during resume from disk https://launchpad.net/bugs/87579 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
