Same problem here. Dell Latitude E5500 (Intel Dual Core, VGA Intel), Kubuntu Karmic 64bits, kernel 2.6.31-6-candela.
But the system suspends and recovers almost smoothly; sometimes I have some difficulty to use the mouse on recovery.
