I now use sun's implementation of java + eclipse and pydev (not from the
repos). Stability wise it's far more bareable.

If feisty is released with pydev as it is that'll be a disaster. To fix this
i would suggest that on apt install ecplise, the java runtime dependency
would be sun's implementation instead of the gcj. Those who wanted pydev
could use eclipse's software update for getting the most recent pydev
instead of having it as a package in apt. I don't know if this is doable
from a maintenance and license point of view but it's the only alternative
for having it "usable".
