@stacktracer's workaround worked for me. @StephanBeal: That file exists on my Ubuntu Karmic system -- I'm not sure why it doesn't on yours. "dpkg -S [filename]" says that it's owned by the package "devicekit-power". Anyway, I'm attaching my copy, for your benefit. (with the workaround already applied for the "hibernate" section)
