Hi all I had the similar problem with files being corrupted after uploading them to Ubuntu samba server. The problems started after upgrade from Jaunty to Karmic. I noticed that documents saved in Open Office or even small images saved from Firefox to a samba share were broken. I made a couple of tests including reinstallation of clean Karmic but it did not help. I just added "locking yes" inside a section describing my share inside /etc/samba/smb.conf and that seems to solve the problem! I guess the issue may be related to changed default locking behaviour in upgraded samba packages.
I hope that helps Michal -- openoffice file corruption when using jungledisk or cifs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/411248 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
