The basic problem of updating some packages is because of this (found in the attached logfile):
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/user-mode-linux_2.6.22-2um-0ubuntu2_i386.deb (--unpack): failed in buffer_write(fd) (10, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/lib/uml/modules/2.6.22-rc5/kernel/fs/gfs2/gfs2.ko': No space left on device So the hard disk ran out of space here, Bug 312491 discusses improving the error message display for such cases, for now please try to make more space available on your harddrive and then try again. ** Changed in: user-mode-linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed, please report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/361079 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
