Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: net-tools

Hi

I found a bug in the program netstat - which prevents it from working
This bug appeared in Ubuntu Jauntym - after an upgrade.
When installed in place jaunty'ego - Karmic Ubuntu version - appeared after a
software update - about two weeks after the stable release Karmic Koala.

Example:
:~$ sudo netstat -nat
Active Internet connections (servers and established)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
/proc/net/tcp: Permission denied

r...@localhost:~# netstat -tunpe
(No info could be read for "-p": geteuid()=0 but you should be root.)
Active Internet connections (w/o servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
User Inode PID/Program name
/proc/net/tcp: Permission denied
r...@localhost:~#
