Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

I know there is an older bug which is quite the same:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/149728

but this one has been marked as invalid cause the feautre was about to
be build.

Now Evolution has a config item to use system wide proxy settings.
Using our proxy from school's PC we're able to sync IMAP and SMTP.
With my Ubuntu machine, I can connect via FF if gnome has been setted up to use
the right proxy,

strangely Evolution isn't able to sync, so I guess it can't connect to
the server, and ignores the system (user-wide) proxy
