Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
I know there is an older bug which is quite the same: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/149728 but this one has been marked as invalid cause the feautre was about to be build. Now Evolution has a config item to use system wide proxy settings. Using our proxy from school's PC we're able to sync IMAP and SMTP. With my Ubuntu machine, I can connect via FF if gnome has been setted up to use the right proxy, strangely Evolution isn't able to sync, so I guess it can't connect to the server, and ignores the system (user-wide) proxy ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Nov 24 16:53:25 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: evolution 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: evolution Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- evolution does ignore system wide proxy settings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/487655 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
