I've been having this problem as well and found this yesterday: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?p=1295009 It's for Fedora, but trackerd seems to be having this issue one other distros as well. I tried the suggested fix yesterday and trackerd hasn't started going crazy since. I'll update if it still happens.
