Invalid? Maybe, but the forum thread started from this (see below), not
the lack of escaping PBCAK:

$ aptitude search "?name(apt)"

$ aptitude search ~napt

I won't open a new issue ticked since this will do just fine. The
previous person who reported this actually lost some information, but
the PITA is still there in aptitude. Here's my input:
