Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When text file thumbnails are enabled in Preview > Text Files, some of
the contents of the file should be displayed in the icon. However, part
of the excerpt in the thumbnails I see seems to be replaced with random
Japanese characters. (Note that some, but not all, of the files _do_
contain Japanese characters, but even those thumbnails show up
corrupted.) When opened, the files display correctly.
