Let's not discuss unrelated topics on this bug report. Currently gksu, PolicyKit, new GDM do show feedback and the terminal is the odd one out here. Adding a system-wide option is not what this bug report is about. I dont believe there is an option in gksu, PolicyKit, new GDM to even disable the feedback. Kindly file bugs in the appropriate apps rather than discussing them here. Only if they are fixed in the appropriate apps is the system wide setting even possible.
Terminal is now being fixed to show the starts by default.
