Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-runtime
I've just noticed that my .xsession-errors grows unstoppably under Kubuntu Karmic. Of course this file gets recreated upon a reboot but I only do this occasionally and in any case, growth of of around 1GB/24 hours surely isn't desirable. nepomukservicestub seems to be the main culprit with at least 80% of xsession-errors' lines being attributed to it. There's three distinct types of errors that results in tens of thousands of log messages each: [/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] "/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(4982)" Error in thread 140420159203600 : "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownObject - No such object path '/org/soprano/Server/models/main'" [/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] "/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(4982)" Error in thread 140420159203600 : "Invalid iterator." and [/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] Failed to add QUrl( "file:///path/to/a/file" ) as text with a dump of the referenced file following these messages. Here's the two nepomuk related config file that I could find, of course I'd happily provide any other information that might help debugging this. ordimini% cat .kde/share/config/nepomukserverrc [Basic Settings] Configured repositories=main Start Nepomuk=true [Service-nepomukmigration1] autostart=false [Service-nepomukstrigiservice] autostart=true [main Settings] Storage Dir[$e]=$HOME/.kde/share/apps/nepomuk/repository/main/ Used Soprano Backend=sesame2 index version=2 rebuilt index for type indexing=true ordimini% cat .kde/share/config/nepomukstrigirc [General] exclude filters=.*/,.*,*~,*.part exclude folders[$e]=$HOME/Projects,$HOME/Backups,$HOME/Virtual Machines,$HOME/np,$HOME/Software first run=false folders[$e]=$HOME ** Affects: kdebase-runtime (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: nepomuk xsession-errors -- nepomukservicestub floods .xsession-errors https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/490335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
