I have an Acer Aspire 3102WLMi with onboard Orbicam running Ubuntu 8.04
Hardy Heron with kernel 2.6.24. Webcam is not detected by Cheese or
Skype.

lsusb shows:
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0402:5602 ALi Corp. Video Camera Controller

I believe the sensor is supported by gspca with the m5602-s5k83a driver.

Carried out the following:
        1. Installed mercurial - sudo apt-get install mercurial
        2. Cloned the latest driver tree - hg clone
http://linuxtv.org/hg/~eandren/gspca-m5602/
        3. entered the gspca-m5602 directory and tried to build the driver -
make

Cannot compile...... error shows:

Preparing to compile for kernel version 2.6.24
File not found: /lib/modules/2.6.24-25-386/build/.config at
./scripts/make_kconfig.pl line 32, <IN> line 4.

Stop.

make: *** [all] Error 2

I don't really understand what I'm missing. Can anyone help?
