Before running the installer again, I checked the /boot file system on the USB stick: ubu...@ubuntu:~$ sudo fsck.ext2 /dev/sdc3 e2fsck 1.41.9 (22-Aug-2009) /dev/sdc3: clean, 53/48576 files, 52351/194048 blocks
I unmounted the /dev/mapper/ubuntu file system. This had been mounted before because I needed to check that it was the one I actually want to reformat. Looks like that did the trick. Maybe the installer could warn if I try to format a mounted partition. -- karmic installer crashed during manual partition setup (complained about some partitions) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/493283 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
