The special keys on my laptop stopped working since upgrading from Hardy
Heron to Intrepid Ibex ... an to today to 9.10. I have 8.04 LTS an a
separate partition and all the special keys are working without any
problem. With any later kernel as 8.04 the special keys show no function
at all.
Beside this, also the suspend to RAM and hibernate functions gone
missing when upgrading from 8.04 LTS. I am not sure if these problems
are connected. See Bug #261318.
Both problems seem to affect primarily Toshiba computers. But on my
Toshiba S4 laptop the specials keys are working with the current Karmic
Koala release.
Please let me know if you need any additional data.
I will also conduct an upstream kernel test.
