It seems that the kernel is not finding your '/' (root) partition. Do
you happen to know what it is? If so you could manually edit the kernel
boot line and change root to '/dev/sda99' or whatever is appropriate to
get it to boot. After getting it to boot you will then want to use
'vol_id /dev/sda99' to determine the right UUID for your '/' (root)
partition. Then modify your '/boot/grub/menu.lst' and '/etc/fstab'
appropriately.
