Thanks for your report. I don't think the problem you describe is a bug, rather an intended feature. There's no Cancel button: you can't close it without applying the changes you've performed, because they are applied on the go. I don't see how this behavior could hurt anybody: you can always revert the changes easily, since that's only a matter of checking a box. Note that there's a Reinitialize button if you need to.
That may be a little confusing at first, because that's not very standard. But I think most setting dialogs should actually behave that way, which is much more intuitive. Is that really a problem to you? ** Package changed: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) => gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New => Won't Fix -- Proxy gets disabled if "Use the same proxy for all protocols" checkbox is unchecked https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/495496 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
